WE ARE SAVING CHILDREN FROM STARVING
by accumulating 10,000 miles together
Join us and do your part in changing lives. Commit to walking, biking, riding your part of the 10,000 miles to Africa and/or donation towards food for our children. Every dollar - big and small goes to saving lives during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Invite your friends, get a team together, challenge each other. Just do it.
We're committed to providing food parcels to orphans , vulnerable youth and their caregivers during this pandemic. We have no idea when this will end but we know we care for these children and we believe that you care as well.
Reachout to Africa has been raising money for vulnerable children in South Africa since 2005. We usually gather to fundraise. We usually send teams from Canada to support Hope Camps. With COVID-19, we had to get creative! The distance from Vancouver, Canada to Mbombela, South Africa is a distance of 16,500 kms (10,000mi). We Since we can’t fly, and we can’t gather to fundraise, let’s #WalkToAfrica2020! Let’s together accumulate that massive distance between now and June 15th, 2020 by walking, skipping, jogging, roller-blading, cycling, pogo-sticking -- whatever it takes! As we share our stories on social media, we strengthen our connections, have fun, get exercise, raise awareness, and significantly help vulnerable children!
Valid posts must include five things:

(3) Tag @reachouttoafrica
(4) Hashtag #walktoafrica2020, and

We will tally the distance we cover together before June 15th and keep you posted about the money raised.
We have already kept almost 200 families from starvation since the COVID-19 pandemic began. That’s nearly a thousand people! Imagine what we can do with more funds!
Once the pandemic is settled, we will resume the ongoing work of whole-person care to the vulnerable kids we love in the townships surrounding Mbombela, South Africa. More about Reachout to Africa.
